Ogilvie Delivering Andy Murray's Cromlix Vision

Stirling based Ogilvie Construction has been awarded the contract to transform Cromlix, recently bought by tennis champion Andy Murray, into a luxury five star venue.

Ogilvie has already started the extensive refurbishment of the listed Victorian mansion, which will create a 15 room exclusive hotel, set in 34 acres of countryside five miles outside Dunblane. It is scheduled to reopen next Spring.

The contract was awarded by Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI) who is managing the hotel, in addition to its eight other independent properties in Scotland.

Peter Queen, Pre-Construction Director, Ogilvie Construction, said: “This prestigious project will breathe new life into one of Scotland’s most elegant estates. As a locally based company we are delighted to have secured this contract and are working closely with the team at ICMI to deliver a new luxury venue that will attract visitors from all over the world.”

Norbert Lieder, Managing Director of ICMI, said: “A local company, Ogilvie Construction has an excellent track record for high quality project delivery. Cromlix is a unique building with great character and we are looking forward to working with Peter and his team as they transform the building into a unique luxury hotel and restaurant.”

When completed, the refurbished Cromlix House will boast a Chez Roux restaurant, 15 luxury rooms, a chapel, conservatory and an attractive trout loch, as well as number of meeting rooms.
