The new building will incorporate energy saving technology such as photovoltaic panels on the roof, along with an increased insulation envelope and airtight design.

Executive Councillor for Education, Lawrence Fitzpatrick said: “This is another important step in the process and we are delighted that building work can now progress.
“Local people will be able to see the new school building take shape over the summer months and we look forward to working with Ogilvie Construction Limited to see the school building develop from the design stage through to completion."
The school will be completed next summer in time for the start of the 2016/17 academic year.
